The Norfork Panthers and the Flippin Lady Bobcats successfully defended their titles Thursday evening as both clubs again won the annual Norfork Bowling Invitational Tournament at Driftwood Lanes.
In tournament play, members of each team bowled two individual games then the teams bowled three Baker games. The tournament title was then decided by total overall pins.
The Panthers won the boys’ title by 218 pins over second place Flippin. Norfork finished with 2,537 pins while Flippin had 2,319, Melbourne was third with 1,813 and Concord finished fourth with 1,438.
Zane Harris led the Panthers with a 197 and 245 in his two individual games. Jacob Braun rolled a 180 and a 205.
The Flippin girls totaled 101 more pins over second place Norfork as the Lady Bobcats finished the evening with 1,953 pins. Norfork had 1,852, Concord took third with 1,407 and Melbourne was fourth with 1,438.
Breanna Prosper led Flippin with a total of 295, while sister Kaitlin Prosper rolled 263 in her two games.
Cheyanne Olson led Norfork’s effort with a 172 and a 155, while Kayla Wiser rolled a 148 and a 128.
The Norfork bowlers return to action Wednesday with a road trip to Batesville to face Southside. The Flippin bowlers host Melbourne at Bull Shoals Lanes on Monday.
